POSITION INFO:

JOB PURPOSE
The Investor and Media Relations Manager is responsible for ensuring the
company is appropriately and strategically positioned with analysts, investors,
and all stakeholders. The holder of this job reports directly to the CEO, and is
responsible for creating the appropriate strategy, framework, and tactics, as well as for providing a very compelling investor relations roadmap.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Investor Relations Management
Develop investor confidence and belief in the company’s vision and strategy for delivering shareholder value.
Develop a robust investor relations strategy and framework.
Provide insights on market activity and present them to the leadership team.
Analyze and present financial trends, competitor behavior, shareholder issues, and anything else that could impact the business.
Responsible for overseeing and managing quarterly earnings and conference calls.
Work with legal counsel to ensure compliance on regulatory matters.
Responsible for effectively communicating the key messages to the prospective as well as the existing investors.
To implement, co-develop and update the organization''''''''''''''''s corporate messaging across different formats like making presentations, press releases, employee meetings, etc.
To determine the organization''''''''''''''''s position in the market and to provide the leaders with a proactive assessment and any other relevant feedback and guidance that is needed
Stakeholder Management
Develop and implement stakeholder engagement strategies and plans across the program to identify relevant stakeholders, to create mutually supportive working relationships, and to ensure that each stakeholder has an appropriate share of voice.
Create and manage a strong reputation by demonstrating consistent and clear communication between internal and external parties.
Manage equity research and investor relationships.
Media Relations and Communications
Act as the main point of contact and primary source of information in the company for investors and analysts.
Work closely and in partnership with Finance to ensure Best in Class Disclosure and Reporting to enable the market to attribute maximum value to the business and communication strategies aligned to this.
Work closely with communications team in developing and delivering the narrative and key messages which reflect overall business strategy and can be used in various external communications including quarterly briefings.
Utilise opportunities to communicate appropriately with the investment community integrated with the communications media flow.
Create a series of messages that help to build confidence in the company and incorporate the messages in all communications.
Issue press releases about events that influence the company’s financial position, such as new product releases, acquisitions, major investments or senior executive appointments.
Reporting
Reporting annual and quarterly results.
Prepare press releases and oversee the production of regulatory filings and annual reports for shareholders.
Assist in creating content for the Integrated Annual report, particularly the operating review, focusing on issues that communicate the image of a financially-sound, well-managed company.
Brief company executives before interviews or conference calls with journalists and stock analysts.
Leadership
Through effective inspirational leadership, facilitate the creation of accountable, full service teams who understand and strive to meet the needs of all stakeholders.

Take full responsibility for performance of all direct reports, motivating and managing them in relation to quality standards and agreed benchmarks and objectives, focusing on all aspects of sound people management.

EDUCATION
Bachelor''''''''''''''''s Degree in Commerce, Finance or relevant discipline

EXPERIENCE
Minimum 7 years’ experience in investor relations, public relations, financial
investment, accounting, legal, and other related fields.
Preferred experiences within a publicly traded company that operates under the
regulatory framework regarding investor information disclosure laws.

Salary - R1.2 - R1.6 mill p.a.
