JUNIOR ENGINEER (ELECTRICAL / MECHANICAL) - PIETERMARITZBURG

JOB DESCRIPTION:

RedCat Recruitment is urgently seeking a qualified JUNIOR ENGINEER (ELECTRICAL / MECHANICAL) for a well-established national concern, position based in the Pietermaritzburg area, KwaZulu-Natal.

PERSON SHOULD PREFRABLY BE ABLE TO START IMMEDIATELY (BEGINNING OF MARCH 2022).

JOB DESCRIPTION

Grade 12.

BTech / BEng Mechanical Engineering Degree.

Valid driver’s license / own reliable vehicle.

Person must be able to speak / read / write English competently.

Strong computer skills (MS Office, Email / Internet). Intermediate level. Adobe PDF.

2yrs previous working experience (post degree) OR a graduate.

Knowledge of automotive and workshop environments an added advantage.

Able to explain concepts and work well with production personnel.

Advanced problem solving and critical thinking skills.

Strong communication skills.

Person will report directly to Engineers in charge of the technical / engineering department.

Create and maintain process sheets for vehicle assembly.

Troubleshoot production line issues.

Troubleshoot bill of material changes.

Work as a team to introduce new models.

Work as a team to introduce and evaluate quality and efficiency improvements to the production line.

Maintain technical specifications on parts.

Ability to record and capture information such as data, pictures, etc.

Evaluate employees’ tasks and responsibilities.
