JOB SUMMARY:
Our client has multiple business interests, the portfolio of which consists of several South African and offshore entities. They currently seek a Junior Accountant to take up a 6 month contract, within the property and investments division.

You will be involved in the accounting function as well as a large amount of personal admin assistance to the Directors of the companies, focussing on start-up entities.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Person:

Degree in Accounting or Finance.
Minimum 2 years commercial experience.
Pastel experience pref.
Intermediate Excel skills.

Core Responsibilities:

Accounting for multiple entities:
- Capturing of accounting transactions and journals on Pastel Xpress;
- Monthly reconciliations;
- Maintenance of the statutory register;
- Monthly VAT & PAYE submissions; and
- Invoicing of debtors.
Assist with follow up & maintenance of database schedule.
PA duties to the Directors as required.
General administration as required.
