SUMMARY:
Junior Accountant / Bookkeeper
I’m working with a growing accounting practice that supports both local and international clients, and they’re looking for a Junior Accountant / Bookkeeper who enjoys working across multiple client portfolios.
This is a full-time role, with flexibility to work remotely. Candidates must be based in the Western Cape.

POSITION INFO:
Role: Junior Accountant / Bookkeeper
Location: Hermanus, Overberg, Western Cape
Salary: TBC

What you’ll be doing:
You’ll manage the day-to-day bookkeeping for a variety of clients. This includes bank reconciliations, accounts payable, and maintaining accurate financial records. You’ll be working across multiple businesses, so being organised and deadline-driven is key.

What matters most:
I’m specifically looking for someone who has worked in a practice environment and is used to handling multiple clients at the same time. You need to be comfortable juggling deadlines, taking ownership, and working independently.

Requirements:

Experience in a bookkeeping or junior accounting role
Previous experience in an accounting / audit / bookkeeping practice (non-negotiable)
Proficient in Xero and QuickBooks
Strong bank reconciliation and accounts payable experience
Able to manage multiple clients and deadlines
Self-motivated, accountable, and reliable
Comfortable working in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment
