  Cape Town, Kloof Street | Approximately R10,000 to R15,000 per month, depending on experience
  
  About Our Client
  Our client operates within a professional accounting environment, providing financial and compliance support to their clients. They offer a structured setting where junior team members can gain practical experience and develop their skills. This role offers the opportunity to learn, grow, and build a strong foundation in accounting.
  
  The Role: Junior Accounting Clerk
  This role exists to support the accounting team with day-to-day financial, bookkeeping, and compliance-related tasks. You will be involved in maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with tax administration, and supporting month-end activities. It is well suited to someone at the early stages of their accounting career who is eager to gain hands-on experience.
  
  Key Responsibilities
  
  0–2 years experience in an accounting or finance environment supporting daily accounting and bookkeeping tasks
  
  Assist with general accounting and bookkeeping duties
  
  Process bank statements using Sage
  
  Support tax-related work and basic tax administration
  
  Liaise with SARS and manage SARS online submissions and processes
  
  Maintain accurate financial records
  
  Support month-end activities
  
  Provide general administrative support to the accounting team
  
  About You
  
  Basic skills or some experience in an accounting or finance environment
  
  Working knowledge of Sage
  
  Familiarity with SARS processes and online platforms
  
  Foundational understanding of tax principles
  
  Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
  
  Willingness to learn and take direction
  
  Exposure to or experience working on Caseware would be advantageous
