SUMMARY:
Junior Bookkeeper

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities:

Reconcile bank accounts - Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded and discrepancies are resolved.
Record transactions - Capture and verify supplier invoices, ensuring accurate reconciliation
Expense claims - Calculating employee travel claims
File and organize documents and receipts

Qualifications & Education:

Currently studying accounting or a related field in Finance.
Basic understanding of accounting principles (debits vs. credits and double entry system)
Familiarity with accounting software preferably Sage Accounting

Experience:

1–2 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience (internship or part-time experience acceptable)

Skills & Competencies:

Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, Accounting Software)
Attention to detail
Strong numeracy skills
Good organizational and time management skills
Basic accounting principal knowledge
Effective communication and teamwork - Integrity and confidentiality when handling financial data
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Eagerness to learn
