SUMMARY:
We are seeking a detail oriented and reliable Junior Bookkeeper to join our team based in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will have 3–5 years of bookkeeping experience and will be responsible for assisting with the full bookkeeping function up to trial balance. This role requires someone who is organized, accurate, and able to work independently while maintaining strong attention to detail.

POSITION INFO:
Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Perform the full bookkeeping function up to trial balance
Prepare and maintain monthly reconciliations
Manage debtors and creditors accounts
Process supplier invoices and payments
Follow up on outstanding debtor balances
Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger accounts
Assist with month-end processes
Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
Liaise with internal departments and suppliers regarding accounts queries
Assist with ad hoc finance and administrative duties when required

Minimum Requirements / Qualifications:

3–5 years’ experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role
Experience with full bookkeeping function up to trial balance
Strong experience with reconciliations, debtors and creditors
Diploma or Certificate in Bookkeeping / Accounting (advantageous)
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (Pastel, Sage, or similar preferred)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Good communication and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
