  The Role: SAS Risk / Quant Analyst (Contractor)
  This role focuses on delivering specialised credit risk analytics rather than broad data science outputs. The successful contractor will apply advanced SAS programming skills and deep credit risk knowledge to support risk modelling, portfolio analysis, and strategic risk decision-making. The position sits at the intersection of technical analytics and business-aligned risk strategy.
  
  Key Responsibilities
  
  Develop and maintain credit risk models using SAS to support risk and business decision-making
  
  Perform advanced data extraction, manipulation, and statistical analysis using SAS
  
  Analyse large credit datasets to identify trends in portfolio performance and risk exposure
  
  Monitor credit risk metrics and contribute to risk strategy refinement
  
  Translate complex analytical findings into clear, actionable credit risk insights
  
  Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure risk outputs align with organisational and regulatory requirements
  
  About You
  
  Advanced, hands-on SAS programming experience for credit risk analytics
  
  Proven experience in credit risk modelling, portfolio monitoring, or regulatory risk reporting
  
  Strong understanding of credit life cycles and risk mitigation strategies
  
  Highly analytical mindset with the ability to move beyond generic data science approaches
  
  Experience working in structured financial, consulting, or banking environments
  
  Ability to communicate technical risk insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders
