A reputable concern that has been in existence for over 31 years is looking for a Junior Cost Accountant to join their team. The organization prides itself on providing environmentally friendly and economical waste management and recycling solutions to its clients. The organization also has branches across different regions within the country.

JOB & COMPANY DESCRIPTION

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

Cost day-to- day operations
General ledges
Intercompany transactions
Assist in preparing the budgets and forecasts
Liaise with sales reps, operations managers, and financial managers
Cost tenders

EDUCATION

The successful candidate must have the following qualifications:

BCom Accounting
Studying towards CIMA is preferred

JOB EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED

At least 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role
Working knowledge of costing, bill of materials, work in progress, budgets and forecasts
Must be able to work under pressure with regards to deadlines and short notice costings
Strong numerical skills
Detail orientated
Advanced Excel skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
