Senior Financial Accountant

A well-established manufacturing business is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join its finance team. This role is ideal for a hands-on finance professional with strong technical ability, attention to detail, and experience operating within a fast-paced production environment.

The Senior Accountant will report directly to senior leadership and be responsible for overseeing core accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting business performance through insightful financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review monthly management accounts and financial reports
• Oversee general ledger, reconciliations, and journal entries
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
• Manage the month-end and year-end close processes
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Support audits and liaise with external auditors
• Monitor cash flow and assist with treasury functions
• Improve and streamline financial processes and controls
• Provide financial insights to support operational and strategic decisions
• Mentor and support junior finance team members

• Completed BCom Accounting, related
• Minimum 5–8 years’ relevant accounting experience, preferably within manufacturing or a similar environment
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and reporting experience
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems
• Proven ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• High attention to detail with strong analytical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A proactive, solutions-driven mindset with the ability to operate independently
