SUMMARY:
We are recruiting for a Junior Credit Risk Quant Analyst – Johannesburg.

POSITION INFO:

Duties:

Contribute to the design, development, and validation of credit risk models in line with IAS 39 and IFRS 9 standards.
Support strategic credit risk advisory projects focused on enhancing client risk management frameworks.
Engage in capital and balance sheet management initiatives, including ICAAP, economic capital modelling, and risk appetite assessments.
Collaborate with a wide range of financial clients – from banks and development finance institutions to microlenders and retail credit providers.
Enjoy the potential for international exposure, with opportunities to travel across Africa, Europe, and the Middle East.

Job Experience & Skills Required:

Qualifications:
- Honours or Master’s Degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or a related discipline
Experience:
- 0–3 years of experience in a quantitative credit risk or analytical role (graduates welcome to apply).
- Experience with SAS or similar analytical tools is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex quantitative concepts to technical and non-technical audiences, including clients and senior executives.
