They're known for our commitment to innovation, safety, and quality – and they're growing! They’re currently looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Design Engineer to join their team.

POSITION INFO:
As a Junior Design Engineer, you will support the design and development of power distribution systems and switchgear solutions. You'll work closely with senior engineers and project teams to deliver high-quality technical designs that meet client requirements and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the design and specification of low and medium voltage power distribution systems.
Produce CAD drawings, wiring schematics, and layout diagrams for switchgear assemblies.
Support the selection and integration of switchgear components including circuit breakers, relays, busbars, and enclosures.
Work with procurement, production, and installation teams to ensure design feasibility and alignment with project goals.
Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure compliance with relevant safety and regulatory standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE, BS EN).

Requirements:

Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Some experience (academic or commercial) with power distribution and/or switchgear systems.
Basic proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, EPLAN).
Good understanding of electrical schematics and technical documentation.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Eagerness to learn and grow within a technical engineering environment.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
