JOB SUMMARY:
An exciting opportunity to be a part of a well-established international company as a Junior Electrical Design Engineer. Work alongside experienced engineers where you can develop and grow your current skills.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Ensure designs are in line with supplier and regulatory requirements

Prepare bills of materials as well as the 3D assemblies (Unigraphic NX)

Electrical component integration

Management of product data into PDM software (Team Center)

Prepare design and concept reviews

Liaise with suppliers regarding designs

Liaise with other engineering teams

Electrical systems design as well as 3D wiring design using Siemens NX, creation of 2D harness drawings and schematics

Manage project timelines

Skills & Experience:

Must be self-starter

Minimum 1-3 years experience as an electrical design engineer

Cost-saving, ease of installation, and servicing in mind when designing

3D CAD experience – Siemens NX (advantageous)

Schematics Design in Mentor Graphics Vesys (advantageous)

Excellent attention to detail

Strong MS Excel skills

Great communication skills (oral and written)

Team player

Qualification:

BEng or BTech Degree in Electrical / Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent

Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
