Junior Electrical Engineer

SUMMARY:
An electrical engineering company in Nelspruit is seeking an electrical systems engineer.

POSITION INFO:
We are currently seeking a talented Electrical Systems Design Engineer to join our growing team. This role offers the opportunity to work on critical vehicle programs from concept through to production.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical systems for armored vehicles, including power distribution, lighting, communication, and control systems.
• Produce wiring diagrams, harness layouts, and electrical schematics using software such as AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or Zuken.
• Select and integrate components such as batteries, inverters, relays, and circuit protection devices.
• Collaborate with mechanical, software, and systems engineers to ensure seamless integration.
• Conduct fault diagnosis, testing, and validation of electrical systems.
• Support prototype builds, production readiness, and technical documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in electrical design (preferably in automotive, defense, or heavy vehicle sectors).
• Proficient in electrical CAD tools and knowledge of low-voltage systems.
• Understanding of EMC, wiring standards, and vehicle safety systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and in a team.
