SUMMARY:

Ready to take the next step in your finance career? A respected organization in the property management and investment industry is seeking a Junior Financial Manager to join its growing finance team.

POSITION INFO:
This role offers the opportunity to gain exposure across the full finance function; from reporting and compliance to operations and investor relations. You’ll support the Financial Manager in overseeing a diverse property portfolio while driving accuracy, efficiency, and strong financial control.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts with property-specific insights.
Maintain the fixed asset register and assist with compiling financial statements in line with IFRS.
Manage cash flow forecasts and monitor rental income and expense flows.
Collaborate with Property Managers on lease and utility recoveries.
Ensure compliance with VAT, PAYE, and statutory submissions.
Review bank and general ledger reconciliations and supplier payments.
Support year-end audits, investor reporting, and inter-company reconciliations.
Implement and maintain internal financial controls and assist with process improvements.
Work closely with senior leadership on budgeting, analysis, and operational support.

Job Experience and Skills Required:

BCom in Accounting or Finance (essential).
Completed or in-progress SAICA/SAIPA articles.
1–3 years’ experience in a finance or accounting role.
Experience in the property management or real estate industry preferred.
Strong Excel skills and working knowledge of IFRS and South African tax regulations.
Experience in QuickBooks or Xero advantageous.
Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Proactive, adaptable, and eager to grow in a hands-on environment.
