Junior Legal Advisor

Must be an admitted attorney with commercial law and environmental law specialties.

Will be required to draft, amend, edit, and review standard commercial agreements over a broard spectrum including teh qualification of tender documents.

Will be required to vet, review and negotiate various commercial agreements and associated agreements

Must have knowledge and ensure compliance with the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), including Environmental law and compliance and all other interrelated legislation and regulations

Key Responsibilities

-Be able to interpret and utilise a wide scope of legislation

-Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations

-Provide guidance to the company in terms of new or ammended legislation and the impact on the business

-Draft and vet various agreements

-Draft technically correct legal opinions and reports

-Manage /co-manage civil and commercial litigation as well as dispute resolution

-Liaise with external legal counces where necessary

-Provide legal advice for management and staff

-Strong Commercial law experience including drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts

-Exemplary writing and editing skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Outlook

-Excellent communication and analytical skills in boith written and spoken English

Min 3 years post admission legal experience

B Com or LLB- must be an admitted attorney

Valid Code 8 Drivers Licence
