Job Specification: Junior Fleet Controller / Logistics / Data Capturer (Contract Position)

POSITION INFO:

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with fleet control including vehicle tracking, trip monitoring, and reporting.
• Support logistics planning and scheduling to ensure timely deliveries and collections.
• Perform data capturing and administrative tasks, maintaining accuracy across systems.
• Monitor and update driver schedules, routes, and fleet documentation.
• Assist with compliance checks on vehicles, licenses, and safety requirements.
• Generate daily and weekly operational reports.
• Provide general administrative support to the logistics and fleet department.
• Liaise with drivers, operations staff, and clients to resolve queries efficiently.

Requirements

• Matric / Grade 12 (essential).
• Additional studies in Logistics, Transport Management, or Supply Chain (advantageous).
• 1–2 years’ experience in logistics, fleet administration, and data capturing.
• Strong computer literacy (MS Excel, Word, Outlook; fleet/logistics systems advantageous).
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in data capturing.
• Team player with a proactive and positive attitude.

Contract Details

• Contract Start Date: November 2025
• Contract Type: Fixed-term (with possible extension).
• Working Hours: Full-time (Monday – Friday, occasional Saturdays if required). Shift work is applicable
• Remuneration: Market-related, based on experience.
