JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job Responsibilities:

Concept and detailed design development and evaluation of structures, conveyors and/or additional equipment by means of 2D and 3D CAD Software (Solidworks, Draftsight, AutoCAD, Ansys, Rocky).
Proven experience in a design environment.
Background in the Mining industry (run-of-mind crushing/sizing/screening) is highly desirable, with exposure to plant and equipment layouts.
Familiar with manufacturing methods, techniques, and procedures.
Analogous and parametric cost estimating.
Knowledge of conveyor design codes.
Background of working with FEA.

Education:

Matric (Grade 12)
BEng Mechanical Engineering

Job Experience & Skills Required:

Knowledge on Ansys
Knowledge on FEA
Fluent in English and Afrikaans
2 years Mining experience
Design experience
Independent
Good social/communication skills
Result driven
