Job Overview:
Our client, a leader in the FMCG and logistics sector, is urgently seeking a proactive and experienced OHAS Supervisor to join their team. Based at their distribution centre, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring health and safety compliance across multiple operational sites.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and implement OHAS (Occupational Health and Safety) policies and procedures

Conduct regular risk assessments and ensure full compliance with legal safety requirements.

Collaborate with senior management during site visits and audits.

Provide training and support to site staff on OHAS best practices.

Investigate incidents, write detailed reports, and ensure follow-up actions are implemented.

Travel with senior management into the Transkei region (may involve overnight stays, accommodation provided).

Ensure safety protocols are maintained in line with FMCG standards and industry regulations.
Requirements:

Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in a Health and Safety role, preferably within an FMCG, logistics, or retail environment.

Strong knowledge of OHAS Act and related health and safety legislation.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple sites.
