Junior Project Engineer (SMPP EPC Projects - Namibian National) – Walvis Bay

SUMMARY:
As a Junior Project Engineer, you will play a crucial role in assisting in the coordination of projects from quotation to installation ensuring safety of all stakeholders, client satisfaction, quality of work within the time and budget.

POSITION INFO:
Namibian National

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical).

• Minimum 2 years work experience.
• Experience in project management or project coordination would be advantages.
• Experience or exposure to a workshop environment will be advantages.

• Knowledge of material forming and material cutting will be advantages.
• Knowledge of different material profiles and material grades will be advantages.
• Knowledge of different welding processes and the fundamentals of welding will be advantages

- Manage projects from concept to completion by identifying client opportunities and defining detailed requirements, including interpreting fabrication drawings.
- Source and negotiate with suppliers, coordinate with internal teams to prepare accurate quotes, and verify purchase orders.
- Oversee project preparation, material procurement, subcontractor coordination, and site installation, ensuring technical compliance, timely delivery, budget adherence, and effective communication across teams.
- Conduct client inspections and secure sign-offs at project completion, initiate invoicing, compile documentation, and prepare project and financial summaries for management.
- Maintain ongoing client interaction and liaison.
- Methodically assemble and submit technical and commercial offers or tenders on time.
- Continuously track, monitor, and report on commercial performance throughout project execution.
