Junior Retail Sales Representative

SUMMARY:
A leading logistics company in Brentwood Park is seeking a proactive Junior Retail Sales Representative to support the sales team by assisting retailers with performance, resolving site-level issues, and analysing retail data.

POSITION INFO:
Working closely with the Area Sales Manager and Sales Rep, the role offers hands-on learning and growth opportunities while contributing to sales goals and retailer success.

Key Accountabilities:

• Assist with issues at site level and to ensure the retailers deliver against their contractual responsibilities.
• Supports the sales rep and to learn by working closely with the sales rep how to work with the retailer to improve performance and new volume opportunities.
• Conduct analysis of key retail data and provides report and insights to the team
• Contributes to the sales team by meeting deadlines and goals to ensure a resilient business model.
• Be proactive and support the retailers with information and assistance under the guidance of the sales rep.

• Learn and understand Adherence to the highest health, safety, security, environmental compliance:
• Safety Audits: Emergency response plans, first aiders/fire fighters trained staff at site level, flammable substance certificate, CCTV installed and operational.
• Safe Delivery process
• Submission and verification of Fuel stock reconciliations
• Incident reporting to be done timeously and captured onto the incident management system.

• Gain knowledge and learn from the sales rep during joint (cycle over an 8-week period) on-site meeting
• with retailers and documented on a site call report.
• Gain knowledge and learn from the sales rep during joint (cycle over an 8-week period) on-site visits to
• improve the relationship with the retailers.
• Learn and understand from the sales rep to know how to have discussions with the retailers regarding
• growing their business and having SHEQ checks done.
• Gain knowledge and learn from the sales rep about potential new retailers that are financially sound and
• experienced to successfully operate a service station according to the set standards.
