Junior Revit Technician

Looking for an experienced Revit Structures modeler / draughts person who has experience
within Structural Engineering and working within a BIM environment. This role will provide the opportunity to work on some of the most innovative and exclusive projects. Require Revit models, consistent with company standards on multiple multi-disciplinary projects.

Role Description:

The focus of the role will be:

• Formalize design sketches received from the professional team and report on coordination and clash detection. The drawings must incorporate all technical aspects
• Structural steel and concrete reinforcement detailing (2D and 3D)
• Understanding of the iterative process of multi-disciplinary building projects
• Set up, modify, and take ownership of Revit models and drawings for structural team members on the
• company server, whilst ensuring compliance with company and national standards
• Ability to work with BIM 360, Navisworks and cloud based co-ordination tools
• Rebar detailing experience advantageous, good understanding of SANS10100 and SANS10144
• Structural steel detailing experience advantageous
• The production of 2D drawings from the Revit model.
• Coordinating drawing production in line with project requirements and in conjunction with other clients
• and other disciplines, sometimes external to the company
• Helping to technically deliver Revit projects in the role of CAD and BIM coordination
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and the ability to work alone, or within a team
• Thorough knowledge of and compliance with the companies procedures and standards
• Good working knowledge of Revit software and parametric modelling practice
• Experience in the building services environment
• Good knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical and Civil Engineering terminology
• Revit experience on LOD400 project delivery level
• Must have good understanding of ISO draughting standards
• Document control (manage and prepare drawing registers and transmittals).

Candidate specification:
The following specifications apply:

• Grade 12
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience using Revit structure in professional practice
• Engineering related qualification advantageous
• Autodesk Certified Professional: Revit Structures” accreditation advantageous
• Successful completion of projects using Revit as a delivery tool. The candidate may provide examples in their application
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office 2010 or higher
• Knowledge of project delivery life cycles and the associated planning processes
• Experience on BIM360 (docs and design)
• Dynamo for Revit knowledge advantageous
