POSITION INFO:

Employer Description

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and design-driven Professional Architect to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing projects from inception through to completion, contributing strong conceptual design, technical expertise and client-facing presentation skills within the commercial and retail sectors.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage architectural projects from Stages 1–6.
Develop, design, and present concepts to clients.
Prepare and manage tenders.
Conduct and attend site meetings.
Oversee project execution and ensure delivery within deadlines.
Apply strong working knowledge of JBCC contracts.
Collaborate with internal teams and manage junior architects.
Ensure high-quality design and technical output across all projects.

Project Scope

Focus on commercial and retail projects
Candidates with predominantly residential experience will not be considered

Qualifications

Masters in Archtiecture
Must be regisered as a Professional Architect with SACAP

Skills

SACAP Registered Professional Architect (essential)
Minimum 5 years’ experience
Strong portfolio demonstrating both design and technical capabilities
Proficient in:
- Revit (Advanced/Proficient – essential)
- Lumion
- Enscape
- Adobe InDesign
- Photoshop
Solid understanding of construction documentation and detailing
