Junior Structural Engineer - Durban

An opportunity for a Junior Structural Engineer with around 2 - 4 years experience to join a multidisciplinary, collaborative team of consulting engineers. 

Requirements: 

• BSc Civil Engineer
• be experienced in working in a multi-disciplinary team finding holistic design solutions
• A strong understanding of engineering principles and the appropriate use of technical analysis and design software packages
• be conversant with relevant design and building codes
• Enjoy collaborating and problem solving.

Position description: 

• Demonstrating a passion for structural engineering, a flair for structural engineering design and practical understanding of buildings. 
• Supporting the team in the structural engineering design of projects, taking responsibility for discrete packages of structural engineering work. 
• Demonstrate a strong ability to communicate through sketching, drawing, presentations and in writing
• Understanding priorities and deadlines
