Key Account Manager - Home Décor (Retail)

SUMMARY:
A growing home décor and furniture company is seeking an experienced Key Account Manager to join its Sandton team and manage and grow key retail accounts across South Africa.

POSITION INFO:
This is a specialist B2B sales opportunity for a candidate with established relationships within the South African retail market. The ideal candidate will have current or recent experience as a Key Account Manager within the home décor industry, with a proven track record of supplying major retailers and securing product listings. Duties & Responsibilities Manage and grow relationships with major retail accounts. Build and maintain strong relationships with retail buyers and key decision-makers. Present new products and ranges to retail buyers. Secure new product listings and range placements. Identify promotional opportunities and drive repeat orders. Identify gaps within customers' existing ranges and recommend suitable products. Negotiate: Pricing Volumes Trading terms Promotional opportunities Prepare accurate sales forecasts. Monitor account performance and identify opportunities for growth. Work closely with sourcing and operations teams to ensure customer requirements are met. Achieve agreed sales, revenue and margin targets. Take ownership of customer issues and ensure they are resolved professionally and efficiently. Develop long-term partnerships with key retail customers. Identify opportunities to expand the company's presence across the South African retail market. Desired Experience & Qualification Minimum Requirements Minimum 2 years' experience selling home décor products to major retailers . Current or recent experience working as a Key Account Manager within the home décor industry . Established relationships with relevant retail buyers and decision-makers. Strong knowledge of home décor products and retail buying processes. Experience selling products such as: Wall art Paintings Mirrors Ornaments Artificial plants and grass Decorative homeware Furniture and related home décor products Proven track record of securing product listings and growing retail accounts. Strong commercial and negotiation skills. Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities. Professional reputation for reliability, integrity and following through on commitments. Must be based in Johannesburg . Must be able to work from the company''''s Kramerville, Sandton office . Retail Account Experience Experience managing or supplying major national retailers will be highly advantageous The Ideal Candidate You are an experienced Key Account Manager with a strong background in home décor and retail . You are commercially driven while maintaining strong and professional customer relationships. You are reliable, organised and take ownership of your commitments.
