SUMMARY:

Our client has a vacancy for a Key Account Manager for a permanent role, based in Rosslyn, Gauteng.

POSITION INFO:
Applicants are required to strictly meet the following criteria: Diploma in Sales and Marketing & Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Qualified Tool and Jig Maker would be advantageous Previous account management experience in an automotive manufacturing environment, dealing with European and Asian OEMs Minimum of 1 year's process planning experience within an automotive environment Minimum of 1 year's time management and motion study experience Minimum of 2 years' tool and jig manufacturing experience Proven track record in project management and client growth Minimum of 2 years' experience in an assembly and press shop environment Minimum of 1 year's procurement or sales experience Flexibility and adaptability to meet the challenges of an ever-changing work environment Knowledge and skills required - Tool & fixture manufacturing \/ Sound knowledge of commercial legislation Project management \/ Understanding of quality systems Self-driven and able to work independently Advanced computer literacy in Word, Excel, MS Project and CATIA, as well as sound IT literacy Communication & interpersonal skills \/ Commercial acumen, analytical ability and advanced numeracy skills Ability to plan and prioritise as required Sound understanding of the commercial processes and ability to formulate quotes Able to work independently and as part of a team \/ Strong analytical skills Relationship building skills \/ Advanced Negotiation and management skills Advanced literacy skills in English and Mandarin Chinese The s uccessful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to: Manage and grow strategic customer accounts within the automotive manufacturing environment by building strong internal and external relationships, driving commercial and project deliverables, initiating new projects and product changes, and ensuring effective sales, quotation, quality and process alignment. The role requires strong commercial acumen, technical understanding of tool, jig and fixture manufacturing, project management capability, advanced communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to support client growth while meeting business objectives.
