POSITION INFO:
Purpose:
To implement a sustainable and successful mining equipment sales division throughout South Africa. Maintain and improve the market share through effective marketing and sales facilitation with key and new customers.

Minimum Qualifications:

Qualifications
Technical Qualifications (Trade or similar).
Bachelor of Commerce: Marketing and Business Management recommended not essential.


Minimum Experience:
5 years operational or Sales experience in a heavy equipment industry.
3 years managerial experience in a heavy equipment industry.

Roles and Responsibilities include inter alia:

Sales Management

  • Manage selling of new and used equipment.
  • Ensure that current market share is retained and improved.
  • Identify new sale opportunities, establish new key accounts.
  • Manage tendering, costing, quotation and delivery processes.
  • Provide technical/professional advice and support.
  • Provide consultation and training to dealers.

Marketing

  • Carry out marketing strategy.
  • Identify and exploit new business opportunities.

Finance, Risk and Compliance

  • Provide input to annual budget and report expenses.
  • Comply with work rules, standards and methods.
  • Take care to minimise waste.
  • Provide feedback on cost saving initiatives in area of control.

People Management

  • Coach others to strengthen specific needs or skills.
  • Health and Safety.
  • Comply with Health and Safety standards, disciplinary and behavioural rules and procedures.
