L2 IT Engineer

Our client, a well-established Managed Services Provider (MSP), is looking for a Level 2 IT Engineer to join their growing technical team. This role is ideal for someone with strong Microsoft infrastructure and cloud support experience who enjoys troubleshooting, working across multiple client environments, and expanding their technical expertise.

POSITION INFO:
What You'll Be Doing Provide Level 2 technical support across a diverse client base, resolving escalated infrastructure, cloud, and networking issues. Administer and support Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and hybrid cloud environments. Manage and maintain Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP. Support Microsoft Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and Microsoft Intune. Troubleshoot desktop, server, networking, and cloud-related issues. Assist with server builds, migrations, Microsoft 365 deployments, and infrastructure upgrade projects. Configure and support virtualization platforms including VMware and Hyper-V. Monitor client environments using Remote Monitoring & Management (RMM) tools and proactively resolve alerts. Perform backup monitoring, disaster recovery testing, and system maintenance. Escalate complex issues to Level 3 Engineers where required while maintaining ownership of incidents. Maintain accurate technical documentation and update client environments within the PSA system. Deliver exceptional customer service while adhering to agreed service levels. Requirements 3-5 years' experience in a Level 2 IT Support or Systems Support role within a Managed Services Provider (MSP). Strong experience supporting Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Azure environments. Solid knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy. Experience supporting Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft Intune. Experience with VMware and\/or Hyper-V virtualization. Good understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP\/IP, DNS, VPNs, VLANs, wireless networking, and firewall troubleshooting. Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions. Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and customer service abilities. Valid driver's licence and own reliable transport. Advantageous Experience Microsoft Defender and Microsoft Security solutions. Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD). PowerShell scripting. Remote Monitoring & Management (RMM) platforms such as NinjaOne, N-able, Datto RMM, ConnectWise, HaloPSA, or Kaseya. Basic networking certifications or Microsoft certifications (AZ-900, MS-900, MD-102, AZ-104, or similar). Exposure to cybersecurity best practices and endpoint security solutions.
