JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Faculty of Health Sciences seeks an accomplished academic to join our Human Movement Sciences Department. The appointment will be made at the level of a Lecturer.

Reporting to the Head of Department, this entry-level academic lecturing position contributes to the Faculty's academic department teaching and learning, and research objectives. The incumbent will take a role as Lecturer in the discipline of Human Movement Sciences and bring expertise in at least one of the following fields: Ergonomics, Biomechanics, Motor learning and development, Clinical Physiology, Exercise Science and Kinderkinetics. Alongside teaching responsibilities, the incumbent will contribute meaningfully to research, postgraduate supervision, internationalization, and community engagement in alignment with the strategic objectives of the Faculty and the University.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS Teaching and Learning Integrated Community Engagement Teaching execution Research Execution Post Graduate Research Supervision Academic Program Coordination MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS A Master's Degree in Human Movement Sciences, Sport Science, Exercise Science, Biokenitics or a closely related field Registered for a Doctoral Degree At least 1 years' experience in higher education Undergraduate teaching experience Evidence of research publications or successful supervision or successful research grant funding ADDED ADVANTAGES Doctoral Degree In Human Movement Sciences, Sport Science, Exercise Science, Biokinetics or a closely related field Evidence of postgraduate teaching or supervision experience Evidence of accredited research publications Evidence of successful external fundraising for research.
