SUMMARY:
My client in tax consulting services is seeking an LLB Graduate with 2 - 5 years experience and an interest in tax law.

POSITION INFO:

2-5 year experience
This position requires experience and an interest in tax law
Equipped to handle high pressure environment

Duties:

Managing own clients
Drafting legal opinions
Research on various areas of law
Advisory and compliance
General tax advice
Invoicing clients and tracking billables
Assisting consultants and other internal staff with legal research
Miscellaneous assistance to Line Manager/Director
Reviewing opinions and articles drafted by internal staff/attorneys
Drafting contracts, including internal company contracts on an ad hoc basis

Attending to client specific matters which include, but are not limited to the following:

Drafting legal opinions;
Representing client in SARS dispute resolution – objections, appeals etc.;
Applying for Rulings;
Corresponding with SARS on a regular basis;
Preparing and submitting Voluntary Disclosure Applications;
Research on various aspects of tax law;
Proposing tax efficient corporate structures;
Trust tax advisory;
Expatriate tax advisory;
Drafting contracts with tax principles in mind;
General tax advice;
Assisting group employees with legal/tax law research; and
Reviewing opinions and articles drafted by internal staff/attorneys.
