POSITION INFO:

RedCat Recruitment is URGENTLY seeking a suitably qualified and experienced LOGISTICS MANAGER (FMCG MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY) for a well-established large concern, position based in the Durban area.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Grade 12.

Valid driver’s license / own reliable vehicle.

BCom Degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent.

5yrs+ experience in a similar positon within a FMCG manufacturing environment.

4yrs+ previous experience at leadership level.

Strong MS Office skills. Experience on JDE programme at an added advantage.

Customer relationship management.

Review and improve supply chain practices to ensure compliance with environmental policies, standards, regulations and legislation.

Manage warehouse activates and processes to ensure compliance with policies.

Manage distribution activates and processes to ensure compliance with policies.

Monitor material costing and forecast to determine effect on supply chain activities.

Monitor activities to manage costs and efficiencies.

Analyze inventories in order to determine how to increase inventory returns and reduce waste.

Oversee overall function and investigate variances.

Oversee and ensure effective stock rotation controls adherence.

Ensuring that monthly stock takes are done timeously and report any stock variances.

Managing production planning and recording to ensure compliance with policies.

Managing consignment stock which includes raw material and packaging material.

Manage the procurement process to ensure compliance with policies.

Manage internal sales process to ensure compliance with policies.

Prepare monthly reports.

Ensure all activities within the operations are executed in safe manner.

Adhoc projects.
