JOB SUMMARY:
An established, well-rounded Financial Services institution, with decades in the game, is looking for a Lead Tax Projects Specialist (Senior Manager) to join their team. Reporting to the Head of Tax, this individual must have experience and exposure to corporate finance transactions, group restructurings, mergers and acquisitions and structured investment products, including international tax structuring. The role is based in Cape Town or Johannesburg so, if you are looking to relocate to the coast or are already established there, then apply now!

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The successful candidate must have Life Assurance/Insurance industry exposure.

Duties:

Ensure tax compliance
Optimise tax awareness
Manage internal and external stakeholders
Financial reporting of tax transactions
Consult & support the Group Tax Head
Implement tax control systems

Education:

Postgraduate in Tax (NOT NEGOTIABLE)
Masters in Tax or CA(SA) – PREFERRED

Experience:

10 – 12 years in accounting and tax consulting
Life Assurance/Insurance – NB!
IFRS 4, 17 & tax legislation & regulations
Managerial experience is NB!
