The Role:

We are looking for an experienced Learning and Development Facilitator for our client based in Sandton. We are looking for your extensive knowledge of the medical aid industry.

 

The function of the Learning Development Facilitator is to equip staff with the knowledge, practical skills and motivation to carry out their work activities effectively. In this regard, the LD Facilitator is responsible for preparing, facilitating, monitoring, evaluating and documenting all training activities in the group in order to manage the learning and professional development of the organisation''s workforce. 

 

Work experience required:

  • Minimum 3 yearsâ?? experience as a Learning Development Facilitator or Trainer
  • Medical Aid, Insurance or similar industry experience preferred
  • Advanced Microsoft Office User
Skills and Experience:

Minimum educational level:    

  • Grade 12 / Matric
  • Related tertiary degree or advanced certification
  • Accredited moderator and assessor advantageous
  • Skills Development Act and other related legislation

 

Responsibilities will include the following:

  • Identify training and development needs within the organisation through job analysis, appraisal schemes and regular consultation with business managers and HR
  • Design, produce and expand on training and development programmes based on the needs of the organisation
  • Coach, mentor and develop staff, utilising training programmes as an opportunity to motivate employees
  • Present engaging sessions using a variety of instructional techniques or formats such as role playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos or lectures
  • Monitor and review the progress of trainees through assessments, questionnaires and discussions with managers
  • Accurate record keeping for company and legislative reporting
  • Work closely with employees to improve work relationships, build morale and increase productivity and retention
