A giant in the travel and hospitality space seeks to employ a Learning and Development Specialist The successful incumbent will be responsible for contributing to the implementation of the businesses learning and development strategies. If this is you, apply right away!!!

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Managing Training Needs Analysis to determine the learning needs from an individual and Organisational perspective
  • Helping with the Design and Development of the L&D initiatives in response to change needs
  • Aiding business units in developing and implementing programmes and initiatives to build the capability of our leaders
  • Assisting and supporting the application of and demonstration of Equal Employment Opportunity, cultural diversity, and ethical practice policies
  • Make certain and conduct the training needs analysis (TNA) with the business leaders to determine the learning needs from an individual and Organisational perspective
  • Applying and providing Learning and Development
  • Helping for and with BBBEE verification audits
  • Managing and co-ordinating training requirements for different levels of the organisation based on current and future capability and mandatory needs, whilst ensuring effective management of a centralised L&D budget
  • Ensuring Employment Equity Committees are actioned, and plans are implemented according to Business plan and legislation
  • Acting as the liaison for the Cluster with CATHSSETA, Travel’s SETA
  • Aiding with EE Committees and the submission of EE reporting
  • Making sure all training is registered and recorded for Board Meeting purposes

Experience & Qualification
  • Microsoft Office, Advance Excel (non-negotiable)
  • Experience with HRIS systems, People 300
  • Experience with EE and Training Module in People 300
  • Relevant degree in human resources, business or related field or equivalent experience
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience of working in an L&D environment

Knowledge & Skills
  • BBBEE knowledge
  • Ability to analyse HR processes and make practical recommendations to clients
  • Have a working knowledge of applicable local laws and regulations related to the Human Resources function
  • Demonstrate leadership skills, including strong business and professional acumen
  • High level of inter-personal and communication skills to handle sensitive/confidential situations and documentation
