A well-established HR consultancy based in Pretoria is looking for an experienced Senior HR Consultant to join their team. This is an in-office position and requires occasional travel.

Develop & Apply Technical Skills and Expertise
Employment Equity Services & Consultancy

- Consulting with clients on EEA’s
- Assist clients with EE Analysis and Drafting of EE Plans.
- Compiling statistical data for online EE reporting purposes.
- EEA Reporting preparation for approval by client.
- EEA online submission.
- Perform EE and HR audits
- Assist clients with Career Planning, Succession Planning and Transformation requirements
- Identify skills gaps and provide solutions to clients.
Learning Related Services & Consultancy

- Consulting clients on WSP & ATR compliance processes.
- ATR/WSP capturing and submission.
- Perform Training needs Analysis and Skills audits
- Assist clients with Career Planning, Succession Planning and Transformation requirements
- Identify skills gaps and provide solutions to clients.
- Co-ordinate meetings of various committee’s.
- SETA liaison.
- Administrative support and updating of records on the HR Server.
- Communication to clients on progress.
Labour Law (incl IR) Related Services & Consultancy

- Development and Review of HR related policies to govern good behaviour and compliance
- Perform disciplinary hearings
- Represent cases at CCMA
- Support legal practitioners in Lab court cases
- Communication to clients on progress.
HR Systems and Related Consultancy Services

- Participate and Support to find a feasible HR system
- Evaluate HR system technology and functionality
- Negotiate and finalise a typical partnership agreement
- Evaluate and investigate the use of AI applications in HR service delivery
- Develop consultancy services structured around the HR system and AI app’s
Reporting and Audit Readiness:
-
- Generation of reports for the purpose of reporting internally, externally and for client compliance purposes
- Quality management of all HR related systems.
Responsibilities: 10 %
Deliver Customer Service
- Project Management / Deadline Driven:
- Partnering with the client to understand the challenges and demands.
- Careful planning of your own work, setting clear objectives and timeframes and effectively prioritising tasks to ensure that set deadlines are met.
- Work closely with the HR team to offer required support and assistance in meeting deadlines and advising on any delays or obstacles that may occur.
- Proactive:
- Planning ahead in order to pre-empt as many as possible delays and obstacles.
- Providing insight into projected / suggested deadlines for various frameworks at the planning phase of the project to ensure that the Portfolio Manager and Principle Consultant integrate deadlines into overall project plan.
- Constantly communicate own progress to the CEO.
- Offer input and advice on area of expertise as and when required by Client / fellow team members.
- Take a mature, professional approach to conflict that may arise (with both clients and colleagues).

Governance and Rule Following
- Advise and assist clients on the relevant legislation and frameworks:
- WSP
- ATR
- Employment Equity
- Labour Law
- Plan, schedule and forecast own workload with specific reference to PEAK times.
- Accurately interpret and apply various legislative and other frameworks to clients specific circumstances.

- Working closely with clients and colleagues on various problems and providing input and solutions.

- Advise Portfolio Manager / Principle Consultant with regards to required resources timeously.

- Write clear, concise, and easily understandable reports.
- Review own reports and ensure that reports are of the highest standard.
- Communicate in a professional and constructive manner to clients and colleagues.
- Using MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel to present client related results in a clear, precise and reliable manner.
- Use standard company report templates as basis for communication.
- Listen actively and attentively.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Formal Qualifications & Skills
- Relevant tertiary qualification (HR Degree preferable, NQF Level 6 or higher)
- Additional HR related qualifications and training will be advantageous
- 5-8 years general HR Consulting experience in a similar environment
Skills
- Sound knowledge of HR Administration
- Sound knowledge of SA Related Laws and Regulations, within the SA context:
- Skills Development Act (incl QCTO, SETA’s, Skills Funding options, WSP and ATR Processes, etc)
- Labour Lar Law (incl Disciplinary Procedures, CCMA, etc)
- Employment Equity Act (incl EE compliance)
- Sound understanding of specialist HR processes and methodologies (incl Performance Management, Succession planning, etc)
- High level understanding of B-BBEE Code of Conduct
