Leasing Consultant - Industrial

SUMMARY:
An Opportunity for an Industrial Leasing Consultant for one of our leading clients in the property Sector to be based in Cape Town - Claremont PERMANENT POSITION

POSITION INFO:

Responsibilities :

• Involvement in the formulation of the optimal leasing strategies for the Industrial sector and implementing those strategies going forward
• Canvas and show potential tenants’ vacant industrial space
• Deal with direct enquiries on vacant space
• Deal with prospective tenants’ new lets and renewals, where necessary
• Drafting of offers to lease to prospective tenants
• Facilitate negotiations between tenants and landlords and ensure that both their needs are met
• Must negotiate deals to optimize profitability for both new deals and renewals
• Process letting deals and work with appropriate documentation to complete lease processes
• Involvement in the tenant’s specification process to co-ordinate costings and related operational management with all role players
• Ensure premises are fit for tenant occupation
• Keep abreast of industrial trends (local and international)
• Build relationships with existing and new brokers
• Marketing division liaison (internal and external)
• Work closely with legal in finalising lease terms and conditions
• Assist with the relevant aspects of budgeting process
• Provide accurate feasibilities relating to leasing within the Portfolio
• General Manager Leasing Consultant
• Manage and minimise outstanding leases
• Comply with OSHACT
• o Budgeting process
• o Financial knowledge
• o Technical knowledge
• o IT system operations
• o Leasing documentation control
• Co-ordinate incentives, introductions, functions etc

Requirements :

• At least 5-8 years of letting experience in the industrial sector.
• Minimum Finance/Property related qualification/ similar degree, with Estate Agency Board Certification
• Property marketing / real estate background
