POSITION INFO:

Our client is seeking a knowledgeable and dynamic Lecturer in Project Management to join their team. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, while also contributing to assessment, moderation, student mentorship, and academic research initiatives within the Faculty of Business Management.

Minimum requirements

• A Master’s Degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field -at NQF level 8 and above
• At least 2 years of lecturing or professional project management experience
• PMBOK, PRINCE2, PMP, CompTIA Project+ or Agile certification (advantageous)
• Fluent in Afrikaans and English
• Registered Assessor/Moderator is beneficial
• Proficiency with project management tools/software (e.g., MS Project, Trello, Jira, Teams)
• Appreciation of AI tools in academia

Skills required

• Strong communication and presentation skills – able to teach and engage with students effectively
• Excellent presentation, communication, and facilitation skills
• Teaching and Training Skills – capable of delivering lectures, practical demonstrations, and workshops.
• Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills – able to assess grain quality, storage issues, and operational challenges
• Organizational and Time Management Skills – able to plan lessons, manage site visits, and meet deadlines
• Passion for teaching, mentorship, and student development
• Ability to integrate technology and 4IR innovations into teaching
• Adaptability and Flexibility – willing to travel and work in diverse environments
• Teamwork and Collaboration – able to work effectively with colleagues, industry partners, and students
• Organised, deadline-driven, and detail-oriented
• Ability to lecture the following modules is a distinct advantage:
  *Economics
  *IT
  *Finance

Duties and responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, marks, and progress
• Submit reports, results, and documentation in line with faculty deadlines
• Collaborate with Programme Managers and other academic staff in cross-functional initiatives

Renumeration: 

R25 000 - R30 000 Cost of Company, depending on experience
