Legal Advisor

SUMMARY:
Our client, an established and diversified property development group with interests across residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments, is seeking a practical and commercially minded Legal Advisor to join their team.

POSITION INFO:
Responsibilities: Provide general legal advice and guidance to management and internal stakeholders Support the implementation of company policies, procedures, and best practices Identify, assess, and assist in managing legal, commercial, and compliance risks Draft, review, and manage legal correspondence, notices, and corporate documentation Liaise with external attorneys, conveyancers, consultants, and other stakeholders Assist with litigation management and dispute resolution processes Draft, review, and negotiate commercial and property-related agreements, including sales, leases, construction, service, loan, security, and confidentiality agreements Provide legal support on property acquisitions, disposals, and developments Review title deeds, servitudes, land-use approvals, and conveyancing documentation Liaise with conveyancers on transfers, subdivisions, consolidations, and sectional title matters Support homeowners' association and body corporate matters Draft board and shareholder resolutions and support governance processes Maintain corporate records and assist with company secretarial requirements Review memoranda of incorporation, shareholder agreements, and governance documents Draft employment contracts, appointment letters, warnings, and employee correspondence Support performance management, disciplinary processes, and employee relations matters Maintain HR policies and assist with general employment-related queries Requirements: LLB degree Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa Minimum 5 years' post-admission experience Strong experience in commercial contract drafting and legal advisory work Solid knowledge of commercial, corporate, and property law Strong written and verbal communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Office To apply, please send your CV to Please note that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
