SUMMARY:
A well-established law firm in Kempton Park is seeking an experienced Legal Bookkeeper to join their team. They will be managing all trust and business accounting functions, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and providing accurate financial reporting to support the firm’s operations

POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements:

Matric with a relevant qualification in Business Administration or Accounting (BCom advantageous)
Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Legal Bookkeeper
Strong knowledge of trust and business account reconciliations
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Pastel, Pastel Payroll & HR, and Legal Suite

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and reconcile trust and business bank accounts
Prepare financial and management statements
Process statutory returns (VAT201, EMP201, EMP501, UIF, COIDA)
Handle payroll, leave management, and salary processing
Maintain general ledger, fixed asset register, petty cash, and reconciliations
