JOB SUMMARY:

An established manufacturer and distributor of chemicals is seeking a young Legal Professional to support the Group Compliance Officer in the enablement of the Group Compliance Management System.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Minimum requirements for the role:

Must have a Bachelor of Laws (LLB)
2 - 5 Years compliance related experience in the mining / manufacturing industry will be required
Experience in implementing Compliance Management Systems in accordance with CISA Generally Accepted Compliance Management Practice/ ISO 37301:2021 is essential
Must have change management and basic project management experience
Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Office Suite will be required

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Executing compliance activities based on the risk-based regulatory and ethics compliance plan in order to provide assurance on the level of regulatory compliance for the business.
Providing advice to the business on compliance with applicable laws and regulations to ensure ongoing adherence and compliance.
Executing regulatory compliance breach management and follow-up processes for the business in order to address the identification, analysis and resolution processes to be followed as well as escalation procedures.
Administering and implementing select group-wide compliance training and ethics programs.
Performing compliance software administration, data-capturing, reporting and the conduct of compliance risk workshops.
Planning and implementing the initiation of critical statutory compliance projects relevant to the business and monitor the appropriate implementation thereof by the business.
Capturing and maintaining the Group license and permit repository.

Salary package, including benefits, are highly negotiable depending on experience gained
