Senior Legal & Compliance Manager

SUMMARY:
A leading international group within the logistics and freight sector is partnering with us to appoint a seasoned Senior Legal & Compliance Specialist. This is a strategic, managerial-level role suited to a qualified attorney with strong commercial exposure and a proven track record in corporate compliance.
You will play a critical role in safeguarding the organization’s legal integrity across multiple jurisdictions while driving compliance frameworks that support business growth and operational excellence.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the legal and compliance function across the business unit
• Provide strategic legal advice on commercial contracts, partnerships, and operational matters
• Develop, implement, and monitor compliance programs aligned with international regulations and corporate governance standards
• Oversee contract drafting, negotiation, and risk mitigation strategies
• Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements within the logistics and freight industry
• Manage legal risk, disputes, and liaise with external counsel where necessary
• Drive internal compliance training and awareness initiatives
• Report to senior leadership on legal and compliance matters, risks, and improvements
• Support business expansion initiatives across different jurisdictions

• Qualified Attorney (LLB or equivalent), admitted to practice
• Minimum 7–10 years’ post-qualification experience in a commercial/corporate environment
• Strong background in corporate compliance within a commercial sector (logistics or related industries preferred)
• Proven experience in a managerial or leadership capacity
• In-depth knowledge of corporate governance, regulatory frameworks, and risk management
• Demonstrated experience in drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements
• Ability to operate effectively in a multinational environment
