JOB SUMMARY:
Investment manager and investment bank operating on a Pan-African basis and specialising in private credit and private equity.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Working with the investment banking and investment management teams in terms of reviewing NDAs, engagement letters and terms sheets
Helping to uphold best practice in the investment banking and investment management teams
Maintaining internal resources, including internal templates for legal contracts.
Maintaining records of contracts executed by the firReporting to FSCA
Corporate secretarial work in South Africa
Managing any claims or litigation
Managing relationships with external law firms
Managing the process of KYC on the fund by external parties
Miscellaneous legal related work, eg., reviewing employment contracts, employee stock
Also manages a closed-end fund incorporated in Germany investing in subordinated debt and hybrid debt in Africa. The fund has leading market positions in middle-market M&A in Africa, as well as private credit advisory
