Legal and Compliance Officer – Johannesburg North
R650 000 – R700 000

Calling all seasoned Legal professionals. My client is looking to employee a seasoned Legal and Compliance Officer. The successful incumbent will take care of the Legal, Regulatory and Compliance aspects of the organization.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsibility and duties:

Providing legal leadership across the business.
Implementing initiatives and processes to set standards and reinforce a culture of integrity, quality, ethical behaviour, and responsibility across the business.
Analysing and identifying the legal risks and implications of all the business’s transactions
Keeping the senior management in all departments of the business informed of developments in laws and regulations that potentially affect the business.
Monthly reporting on Risk, Legal and Compliance
Researching and analysing of legal requirements pertaining to commercial, labour, or other legal requirements.
Anti-Corruption and ethics management.
Statutory compliance management

Knowledge / Qualification / Experience:

Law Degree (LLB)
Minimum 5 years’ experience as a legal adviser in a Large Corporate
5-10 years post-qualification experience with a general corporate/commercial/IP/IT background (In-house experience would be beneficial but is not required).
Financial Services experience
