SUMMARY:
Our client is looking for an energetic and motivated Litigation Attorney to join their small but dynamic team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will assist with civil litigation while being given the opportunity to grow and nurture their own areas of practice.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements:

LLB degree and Right of Appearance in the High Court
3-5 years' post-admission High Court experience
Experience in personal injury and general civil litigation
Familiar with Court Online and jurisdiction-specific processes
Strong organisational, administrative and drafting skills
Ability to work independently and in a team under pressure
Excellent legal research and case law analysis skills in accordance with legal developments
Detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to professional growth

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Attend to complete life cycle of the litigation process, including:

Drafting pleadings, notices, and legal correspondence
Preparing instructions and engaging with Counsel

Engage with and report to clients
Appear in Court where required
Manage files independently and ensure compliance with Court Rules and deadlines
