Lodge General Manager

SUMMARY:
An exclusive 5-star game lodge is seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations and lead a passionate team in delivering exceptional guest experiences. This is a live-in leadership role ideal for a hands-on, service-driven professional with a strong background in luxury hospitality.

🔹 Key Responsibilities:

• Full operational management of the lodge: front of house, F&B, housekeeping, maintenance, HR, and guest relations
• Drive service excellence and ensure a seamless guest journey from arrival to departure
• Lead, train, and motivate department heads and their teams
• Oversee budgets, stock control, procurement, and financial reporting
• Uphold lodge standards, health & safety regulations, and sustainability practices
• Build strong relationships with guests, staff, suppliers, and stakeholders
• Ensure constant innovation and improvement of lodge offerings

POSITION INFO:

🔹 Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years lodge or boutique hotel GM experience (preferably in Big 5 environment)
• Strong financial acumen and proven operational leadership
• Exceptional interpersonal, staff management, and problem-solving skills
• Experience working in remote bush environments
• Hospitality diploma/degree advantageous
• Well-presented, flexible, and solutions-focused
• Valid driver’s license
