Logistics & Intermodal Operations Specialist

12–24 Month Contract | Project-Based Appointment

We are looking for an experienced Logistics & Intermodal Operations Specialist to provide specialist operational and logistics input into a major infrastructure project.
The successful candidate will understand how different parts of the logistics chain work together, including ports, inland terminals, rail, warehousing and intermodal transport operations.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities Assess and develop logistics and intermodal operating models . Analyse operational requirements for ports, inland terminals and rail logistics. Develop logistics service and operating concepts. Assess warehousing and terminal requirements. Evaluate intermodal transfer processes and operational efficiencies. Analyse logistics flows and identify opportunities for improved service delivery. Provide operational input into infrastructure planning and feasibility studies. Engage with logistics operators, infrastructure providers and other industry stakeholders. Minimum Requirements Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or a related field . Minimum 7 years' relevant experience . Strong experience in ports, inland terminals or rail logistics . Experience with warehousing and intermodal operations . Experience in logistics service design . Strong understanding of end-to-end logistics operations. Ability to translate operational requirements into infrastructure and service solutions.
