SUMMARY:
A leading logistics organisation is seeking a Logistics Director to lead its international operations and deliver sustained commercial and operational performance across multiple regions.

POSITION INFO:

This executive role oversees customs, forwarding, transport strategy, and Africa expansion, with full accountability for governance, compliance, client retention, and financial outcomes.

The position requires a decisive leader who can drive growth, optimise performance, and implement scalable, efficient operating models within a regulated environment.

Essential Requirements

Bachelor’s degree essential; postgraduate or CA(SA) advantageous
8+ years of executive leadership in logistics or supply chain
Proven experience managing large, multi-functional operations
Strong commercial, financial, and regulatory expertise

Key Responsibilities

Define and execute an international logistics strategy aligned to growth targets
Lead executive team across operations, compliance, and commercial functions
Drive revenue, profitability, and regional expansion initiatives
Ensure compliance with customs, ISO, and governance frameworks
Strengthen client relationships and commercial partnerships
Lead automation, transformation, and process improvement initiatives
Oversee risk, SHERQ, and sustainability frameworks
