SUMMARY:
New Vacancy!! Our leading client in the Automotive Sector is looking to employ a Logistics Manager to join their dynamic team in Durban.

POSITION INFO:
Job Responsibilities:

In charge/overseeing the daily running of the Receiving Department, Rebate Store, Bulk and Small Components Store, Paint Store and Consignment Store.
Ensure effective document controls are maintained, and respective SOPs are followed.
Conducting weekly stock counts on all stores. Report on all variances and adjustments done accordingly.
Initiate corrective actions to address stock variances and to follow through to closure.
Processing of all goods received documentation, IST’s and unplanned issues.
Processing all consumable documentation and sorting out Finance queries.
Liaise with Material Planning and Import Purchasing regarding abnormalities in receipt.
Inform Material Planning on stock levels if stock is below minimum level.
Consumable store control and reporting weekly on stock levels.
Regular monitoring and maintenance of high value stock
Ensure stock rotation system (FIFO) is adhered to.
Maintain proper housekeeping standards and ensure that safety requirements are adhered to.
Ensure MSDS files are updated for paints, materials and chemicals.
Ensure meetings are held pertaining to paint and chemical store and provide minutes
Ensure all stocks required as per works order are arranged within the agreed period and communicated.
Manage KPA’s of subordinates

Job Requirements:

Matric
Certificate in Supply Chain
3-5 years relevant experience in Material Planning
Experience in a Manufacturing industry
