Logistics Manager

As one of the leading automotive suppliers worldwide our client is seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to join the team

JOB DESCRIPTION

Transport

• Negotiate rates with transporters and ensure that they meet the required BEE rating
• Ensure adherence to delivery commitments
• Freight Forwarding
• Negotiate prices for inbound freight, including airfreight
• Liaise with freight forwarders to ensure timeous deliveries

Warehousing

• Managers and ensure that outsourced partners comply with their contractual obligations
• SAP
• Material master maintenance - new products, extended products, etc.
• Sales order releases and generate billing documents, credit and debit memo'
• Clearing of management reports on a weekly and monthly basis
• Manage queries regarding material movement between branches

Finance

• Check, analyze and process monthly SG for payment
• Monitor forklift fuel and transport loads and analyze expenses
• Check and approve export transporters' invoices

MRP/Procurement

• Set-up and maintain parameters for MRP in SAP
• Review SAP generated Purchase Orders for accuracy and availability
• Source new products on request from sales department
• Find alternative source of supply in emergency stock-outs

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelors’ Degree or Diploma in Logistics Management or Supply Chain Management
• Proficient SAP user
• Proven experience in inventory management
• Ability Management knowledge
• Automotive manufacturing experience is essential for this role
