Logistics Manager (Queenstown)

Logistics Manager required for company in the FMCG industry based in Queenstown to oversee all logistics for 2 large departments. You will also be responsible for planning, combining multiple departments, executing loading and delivery of perishable goods.

Responsibilities:

• Drive and manage dispatching 10 – 15 trucks
• Daily/night shifts with minimum 8 managers/supervisors and 60 staff
• Coordinate with drivers to ensure timely pick up and delivery of orders
• Manage schedules of trucks and drivers
• Achieve maximum productivity

Requirements:

• Minimum 6 years’ experience in a senior role within the FMCG / perishables industry
• Valid driver’s license & own transport
• English a must (Afrikaans and Xhosa will be advantageous)
• Must have previous management experience (+- 70 – 80 staff)
• Must have had experience with good stock controls and stock rotation
• Good people skills, planning skills and problem-solving skills
• Advantageous to have knowledge of Eastern Cape for distribution
• Must be willing to be based in Queenstown
